For clarity's sake, when I say "bloodmouth," I mean the red jaw that you can summon and then shoot. This isn't a bug, but it's important to know (and should probably be reworked, in all honesty).Sometimes if a prey dies while in your grasp, you will still be slowed down until you boost again! An Octopus nearly killed me because of this. It fixes itself almost immediately, even if you don't move out of the way, but it's not a rare occurrence. Inexplicably, they start multi-hitting you without taking damage back. In fact, one time I managed to repeatedly re-grab a Pelican like this over the land of the island and stunlock them to death!īe careful about pitting people too far into the wall! No, they won't get stuck, but strange physics start happening when they're half-way in the wall and can't move you out of the way. Sometimes they may rarely escape if you do this, though. This can be exploited to allow you to do some extra damage with the bird before you re-enter the water. I believe the idea is that when you throw the bird, the game still thinks you're doing a normal air-boost and should be able to still grab someone despite the fact you haven't used another boost. If you grab a bird in mid-air, you can then throw them and re-grab them without using another boost! Keep in mind this takes place in the air. This combo completely stunlocks people and very easily kills even many Tier 10s! If you repeatedly grab and throw your prey in a straight line, you can use the boost speed to normally hit your prey between each grab! To explain it further, you will first grab them for the typical, low amount of damage - but if you immediately let go before you run out of momentum from the boost you just did, you can then hit them normally. This may not technically be a bug, but it certainly doesn't seem intentional. Be careful about managing your boosts if you plan to jump around like this. If you air-boost, you cannot air-boost again until you've done one normal boost in the water! That is to say, you can't do an out-of-water jump until you do your charging boost in the water at least once. This bug was on Shark a while back before I posted about it. You can exploit this to help you carry your prey to somewhere in your favor or stunlock them without the use of a nearby wall. If they are released during your boost, they will almost immediately be re-grabbed by it. I'm not sure if this is a bug, but if you have someone actively in your grasp, you can still boost with them in your mouth. Some of these can give you huge advantages in fights - and some of them are actually pretty detrimental, so you should be aware of them. These are all of the various bugs and anomalies I've noticed while playing.
